The Basics

When people say "Greek Life," the first organizations that come to mind are what are commonly known as social fraternities. They earned their name - not because the are supposed to be about throwing parties - but becuase when they were founded people believed that in order for a man to be "socialized," that is - a functioning member of society - he needed to believe in something bigger than himself. Values and belief systems are what fraternities and sororities are founded on. What makes each organization special is a Ritual that was created by their founders and is still practiced by its members today.
